Lloret de Mar Town Council has inaugurated a 240 square meter ice rink located on the seafront, the first of its kind on the Costa Brava.

The facility, located one hour from Barcelona, will remain open to the public until January 7 and is intended as a way to relocate the Christmas offer, and attract visitors outside the high season of tourism in this town.

The ice rink will operate throughout the holidays as the centerpiece of an enclosure that includes a Christmas fair with wooden stands for the sale of traditional products and gastronomy.

This market will be open until December 21, and can be combined with various children’s workshops under a dome installed in the enclosure. In addition, there will be a miniature train with free access.

The general admission for the ice rink costs 8 euros, including skate rental and a duration of 30 minutes. But those who travel to Lloret de Mar on December 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 and 18, will pay 5 euros.

The ice rink is located in Passeig Agustí Font.

Spain is one of my favourite places to visit. The weather, the food, people and way of life make it a great place to visit.
