A London-born mum of two is bringing creativity and calm to the Costa del Sol through her new business, Jewels & Matcha.
Andrea, who moved to southern Spain six years ago, has spent more than 20 years in the fashion and accessories world. Drawing on her design background, she now runs relaxed, friendly sessions where participants can create their own jewellery pieces using semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, and gold or silver-plated chains.
Workshops take place in Estepona, San Pedro, and Marbella, with new locations in Sotogrande and Mijas due to open soon. Each two-hour session offers a complete creative escape, combining simple design techniques, guided tuition, and a complimentary drink to enjoy while working.
“It’s about more than jewellery,” Andrea explains. “It’s a moment to slow down, meet new people, and reconnect with hands-on creativity in a peaceful setting.”
Each session begins with a calm atmosphere, quiet music, a drink in hand, and tables laid out with beautiful materials ready to be transformed. By the end, guests leave with a personal handcrafted accessory and a chance to relax and enjoy some creative time.
Workshops run weekly, typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with updates shared through the Jewels & Matcha newsletter.
A special Sunday workshop will also take place on November 23 from 3pm to 5pm at Manuka, CC Plaza del Mar, Marbella, ideal for those wanting a creative way to finish the weekend.
As December approaches, Andrea is adding a festive twist with Christmas-themed workshops, where guests can make personalised gifts or decorative pieces for the season. Private and corporate bookings are also available, making it a popular choice for team-building events, celebrations, or creative get-togethers.
The venture is part of a growing wave of UK ‘mumpreneurs’ finding inspiration along the Costa del Sol, offering lifestyle, wellness, and creative experiences for both locals and visitors. Jewels & Matcha fits perfectly into this trend, combining artistry with wellbeing and encouraging people to take a break from busy routines.
