The 50-year-old was found between parked cars
A UK man has been found dead between two parked cars at a holiday resort in Spain. Police are investigating after a man was found dead at around 7.45am on Sunday.
A 50-year-old man was found dead in Javea, Costa Blanca in south-east Spain. Javea lies between San Antonio and Nao, 45 minutes from Benidorm.
An Alicante Civil Guard spokesman said: “At around 7.45am this morning (Sunday), through a regional emergency response coordination centre, a report was received regarding the discovery of a possible deceased person on a street in the municipality of Javea.
“The officers dispatched to the scene confirmed the death of a 50-year-old British man. The Territorial Team of the Judicial Police of Calpe has taken charge of the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.”
The Civil Guard said yesterday afternoon there were no obvious signs of violence at the scene but say they are still awaiting the results of the autopsy. British officials are understood to have been informed.
