The streets of San Jose, Costa Rica glittered last night as 14 floats made the delight of thousands that gathered to witness the 22nd edition of the Festival de la Luz (Festival of Light).
The winner float was the DEMASA float (company that produces corn based food products); the second place went to the Kolbi float and third place went to the float created by the INS Group (National Insurance Institute).
In the band category the first place was awarded to the Orotina band, second place was for Tarrazu Coffee and third position was taken by the Acosta municipal band.
The Global Elite cheerleading team got the first place, followed by Jungle Cats and finally Costa Rica All Stars.
The Banco Nacional float received a recognition as the most original one, thousands of plastic bottles were used to recreate the ocean and marine species, raising awareness about the importance of recycling.
