Almeria is saying goodbye to one of its biggest events of the summer as the Dreambeach festival set its sight on new shores. After more than a decade of music, memories and record-breaking crowds, the iconic electronic music festival is preparing to close a significant chapter in its history.
A new home on the Costa del Sol
Festival organisers announced via social media that the beloved music event would be moving to Vélez-Malaga in Málaga. Alongside the change of location, they also revealed that the festival would be rebranding, changing its name it Dreambeach Costa del Sol ahead of its 2026 edition.
“We are thrilled to confirm that Dreambeach Costa del Sol will be born on July 31st and August 1st, 2026, a new location to celebrate a completely revamped festival with the whole family, but with the same essence and legacy that has allowed us to be with you year after year,” Dreambeach organisers explained across their social media platforms.
The end of an era in Almeria
After eleven years of unforgettable musical moments, nine editions in Villaricos, two editions in the capital, Dreambeach concludes its relationship with Almeria. What began as an ambitious successor to the renowned Creamfields Andalucia festival, grew into one of southern Spain’s most important electronic music events, attracting fans from across Spain.
During that time, Almeria hosted renowned artists world renowned techno and dubstep artists whose sound became synonymous with the Dreambeach festival. The festival not only boosted the local economy, but also placed Almeria firmly on the international festival map.
The grand final and future plans
The final 2025 edition was a high point for the festival, drawing over 90,000 attendees, with top names such as Will smith, Steve Angello and Steve Aoki headlining the event.
In preparation for their new look and location, Dreambeach have gutted their social media, removing posts of previous editions of the festival. This signals a symbolic clear break from the past as they focus their full attention on the new 2026 version.
For Almeria, it is a bittersweet farewell to a festival that helped define summers for more than a decade. For Dreambeach, it marks the beginning of a bold new chapter on the Costa del Sol.
