FIJET Spain Awards 2026
The World Federation of Journalists in Tourism in Spain has awarded the FIJET Spain Awards 2026, aiming to recognise and honour all entities, organisations, projects, and destinations within the tourism sector, valuing excellence in the management of its various stakeholders and the promotion of tourism and destinations.
About FIJET Spain
FIJET Spain is a professional entity that encompasses all sectors of journalism and communication, primarily focused on promoting tourism through informative activities, analysis, and outreach on topics related to tourism activities and destinations.
The Fédération Internationale des Journalistes et Écrivains du Tourisme, known by its acronym FIJET, has been established for over 65 years since its founding in Paris. It comprises communication professionals and journalists specialised in tourism from more than 35 countries. FIJET holds a member-B status with UNESCO and is affiliated with the World Tourism Organization (WTO) and the Universal Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations. It is also a partner of the International Tourism Council.
Event Details
This edition featured more than a hundred nominees across six categories. The awards ceremony for FIJET 2026 will take place in the Spanish capital, coinciding with the International Tourism Fair (FITUR). This event will gather key players, institutions, and businesses from the sector with the aim of boosting one of the most important economic engines in the country.
President’s Remarks
The President of FIJET Spain, Miguel Ángel González Suárez, emphasised that “it is time to look to the future with ambition and hope, with the conviction that the path forward should be solid and unified. The calibre of the award recipients should serve as an example in our pursuit of total tourism excellence.”
After congratulating the awardees, they expressed gratitude to FIJET Spain for the honour and appreciation for all communication professionals for initiatives that serve as a catalyst, helping to maintain the competitiveness of the award winners.
