Calpe is scheduled to become the epicentre of memorable mountain bike action from January 29th to February 1st as riders put their skills to the test. Racing through Altea, Benissa, Senija, Lliber, and Xaló, participants will tackle some of the toughest climbs of their mountain biking careers.
Challenging course with breathtaking views
The planned course features steep peaks and tricky descents that will require riders to combine skill and strategy. Each stage presents unique technical challenges, from narrow mountain paths to rocky trails that test even experienced bikers.
Along the way, competitors will be treated to spectacular views of the Costa Blanca, including dramatic cliffs, lush valleys, and panoramic sea views, making each stage as scenic as it is demanding
Four days of intense racing
The full Costa Blanca Bike Race departs from Senija on 29 January and runs until 1 February, culminating in Calpe. Riders will cover a total distance of 166.2 kilometres over four days, with significant elevation gain in each stage. This challenging event draws elite competitors and amateur enthusiasts alike, testing endurance, technical ability, and mental toughness.
Half race: a more accessible option
For those unable to commit to the full four-day race, the Costa Blanca Bike Race offers a Half Race over 31 January and 1 February, covering 98.2 kilometres. Stage 1 runs from Altea through La Nucia to Polop (56.2 km, 1652 m elevation gain), while Stage 2 loops around Calpe (42 km, 1390 m elevation gain). This format is ideal for riders looking for a challenging yet manageable experience.
E-bikes welcome
E-bikes are permitted in both Full and Half Race categories as a non-competitive option. This allows amateur riders to experience the excitement of the Costa Blanca Bike Race at a more relaxed pace, track their times, and enjoy the event without the pressure of overall standings.
