MADRID 24 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Siam Park has been awarded the title of the best theme park in Spain by the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists (FIJET Spain) during a ceremony held at the International Tourism Fair FITUR in Madrid.

This accolade recognises “excellence in management, the quality of the experiences offered, and the park’s contribution to positioning Spain as a premier tourist destination.”

Present at the award ceremony were the founders of the Loro Parque Group, Wolfgang and Brigitte Kiessling; Christoph Kiessling, Vice President of the Loro Parque Group; and Miguel Ángel González Suárez, President of the World Federation of Tourism Journalists in Spain.

This honour is part of the FIJET Spain 2026 Awards, the results of which were agreed upon on 21 December following a deliberation process and voting by a jury composed of professionals specialising in tourism communication. The federation aimed to highlight “the excellence in the management of Siam Park and its significant contribution to promoting tourism and positioning Spain as a leading leisure destination.”

The presentation of the award at FITUR, one of the largest international showcases for the tourism sector, marks another milestone in Siam Park’s journey and strengthens its national and international profile. The park concluded 2025 with 1.6 million visitors, establishing itself as one of the main tourist attractions in Tenerife and the Canary Islands.

Wolfgang Kiessling, President of the Loro Parque Group, emphasised that “receiving an award granted by journalists specialising in tourism is particularly meaningful for us because they are professionals who analyse, compare, and have a deep understanding of the reality of the sector.”

This recognition inspires us to continue innovating and offering unique experiences, always with the utmost respect for our environment and the destination that hosts us. No park has ever been recognised as much as Siam Park, not only for its aquatic features but also for the overall quality of its attractions.

A COLLECTIVE ACHIEVEMENT

Christoph Kiessling, Vice President of the Loro Parque Group, added that “this achievement belongs to everyone who is part of Siam Park. Their daily commitment, professionalism, and passion form the foundation that allows us to stay at the top and continue being an international benchmark for quality leisure.”

Having been consistently recognised as the best water park in the world by TripAdvisor for several consecutive years, Siam Park continues to reinforce its leadership through a constant commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

Initiatives such as Siam Night, the ongoing modernisation of iconic attractions, and operational excellence enhance the park’s prominence as a major international reference in the leisure industry. It reaffirms its commitment to excellence, innovation, and creating unforgettable experiences for millions of visitors worldwide.

“I am grateful to my son Christoph for his excellent management of Siam Park. We are looking to create more parks of this kind and continue contributing to the economic and social development of our archipelago,” concluded Wolfgang Kiessling.
