India’s Aditi Ashok marked a promising start at the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open, registering a score of 3-under 69, positioning her in tenth place. She trails joint leaders, Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby and Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab, who ended their day at six-under-par.
Other Indian participants witnessed varied results. Avani Prashanth stood at T-27 with a score of 71, while Hitaashee Bakshi, leveraging her recent third place at the Hero Women’s Indian Open, ended the day at T-45 with a 73. Pranavi Urs and Diksha Dagar managed scores of 74, tying them at 49.
The leaders, Soenderby and Cheenglab, exhibited flawless rounds at Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf, both recording no bogeys. Meanwhile, France’s Celine Herbin and Spain’s Luna Sobron Galmes followed closely at third, each carding rounds of 67.
