Benidorm records 83.3 per cent occupancy and the Costa Blanca reaches 77 per cent during the first half of November as all destinations improve performance.
Benidorm and the Costa Blanca have reinforced their role as year-round tourism leaders, posting hotel occupancy figures that significantly outperform those recorded during the same period in 2024. According to the latest BigDataHOSBEC analysis, every destination across the region shows positive growth, confirming a stable, 12-month tourism model that benefits the wider economy of the Comunitat Valenciana.
Benidorm continues to lead the region
Benidorm once again leads the way with an average occupancy of 83.3 per cent, two points above last year. The destination continues to perform strongly in autumn, driven by a robust international market. The United Kingdom remains the main source of visitors with 46.3 per cent, maintaining its dominant position despite a slight year-on-year decline. Domestic tourism holds steady at 37.2 per cent, while travellers from Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland complete the core source markets.
Hotel categories maintain strong performance
Hotel performance by category also shows notable consistency: three-star hotels reach 83.8 per cent, while four-star establishments climb to 83.2 per cent, gaining more than four points compared with 2024. Looking ahead, bookings for the second half of November already sit at 72 per cent, a typical figure for the pre-Christmas period and a reflection of Benidorm’s continued strength during traditionally quieter months.
Costa Blanca posts an eight-point increase
The Costa Blanca also posts a strong performance, rising from 69.1 per cent in 2024 to 77 per cent this year. This eight-point increase highlights the solid contribution of the domestic market and the continued loyalty of international visitors. Spanish travellers account for 48.7 per cent of stays, followed by the UK with 14.1 per cent, Norway with 8.9 per cent, and Belgium with 6.3 per cent. Demand from Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland and Sweden further enhances market diversification.
Four-star establishments stand out
In terms of hotel categories, four-star hotels on the Costa Blanca reach 79.3 per cent occupancy, with three-star properties close behind at 78.8 per cent. Forecasts for the remainder of November estimate average occupancy at 63.1 per cent, a reasonable seasonal adjustment that still maintains a solid base for a positive end-of-month balance.
Region strengthens its year-round tourism model
Overall, the data confirm that the Comunitat Valenciana is steadily consolidating the breakdown of tourism seasonality — a strategic objective for the sector and a fundamental pillar of a sustainable model that delivers economic and social value throughout the entire year.
