A BRIT teen is fighting for her life after being pulled from the sea at a holiday resort on the Costa Brava.

The 14-year-old is said to have almost drowned and remains in a “critical” condition in hospital in Lloret de Mar, north-east Spain.

She was admitted to an intensive care unit at Josep Trueta Hospital in the Catalan city of Girona after going into cardiac arrest.

The youngster is understood to have been swept out to sea by a wave while playing in the water with other friends from the UK.

Two police officers saved her life by jumping into the water and hauling her to shore.

Three ambulances raced to the scene after the alarm was raised around 11.30am yesterday.

The sea was said to have been choppy at the time with strong currents.

It was not immediately clear this morning if the British girl lived locally or was on holiday in the area.
