LONDON— British Airways (BA) is expanding its regional network for the 2026 holiday season as its subsidiary BA Cityflyer (CJ) launches three new European routes. The airline will introduce flights connecting London City Airport (LCY), London Stansted Airport (STN), and Glasgow Airport (GLA) to leisure destinations in France, Italy, and Spain.
The expansion allows the carrier to reach nearly 30 cities across Europe. BA Cityflyer stated that the new routes will add stronger connectivity for travellers seeking quick, direct access to popular warm-weather destinations during the busy summer period.

BA Cityflyer New Summer Routes
BA Cityflyer will launch scheduled flights to Toulon Saint-Tropez (TLN), Olbia (OLB), and San Sebastián (EAS). Each service is designed to support growing leisure demand and offer more travel options across Western Europe.
The airline confirmed that all flights include a Club Europe cabin, providing additional baggage allowance, priority boarding, and premium meals.
The additions strengthen BA Cityflyer’s role within the British Airways network by broadening access to the French Riviera, Sardinia, and northern Spain from different UK regions.
The airline expects all three routes to perform strongly throughout the season based on current travel trends.

LCY–Toulon Service
From 23 May to 1 September 2026, BA Cityflyer will operate two weekly flights between London City and Toulon Saint-Tropez. Toulon is the closest airport to Saint-Tropez at just 30 miles, offering a convenient gateway to the French Riviera’s resort areas.
The airline will serve the route on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with fares starting from £127 each way.
London City Airport offers a short 22-minute access time to central London, and its single-terminal layout enables kerb-to-gate processing in under 15 minutes. The new French route joins the airline’s existing seasonal services to Nice, Bergerac, and Chambéry.

Stansted–Olbia Route
Flights from London Stansted to Olbia will operate between 23 May and 27 September 2026. BA Cityflyer will run the service twice weekly on Saturdays and Sundays, supporting rising demand for Sardinia holidays.
The island recorded 18.9 million overnight stays in 2024, marking a 38 percent year-on-year increase.
The route will complement the airline’s London City service to Olbia, which begins in 2025. Combined, BA Cityflyer will operate up to five weekly flights from LCY and twice weekly from STN in summer 2026. Fares begin at £127 each way.

Glasgow–San Sebastián
From 18 July to 8 September 2026, BA Cityflyer will offer twice-weekly Glasgow–San Sebastián flights.
The service operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays, adding a new option for Scottish travellers heading to Spain’s Basque region. San Sebastián is known for its coastline, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
The airline already flies to the destination from London City and Edinburgh, and the new Glasgow flights will bring the total to up to three weekly departures from LCY and two each from EDI and GLA.

Bottom Line
BA Cityflyer’s three new European routes strengthen its leisure network ahead of summer 2026. The airline expands coverage across France, Italy, and Spain while offering added convenience through multiple UK departure points.
With nearly 30 destinations in its schedule and rising demand for premium short-haul travel, British Airways aims to capture strong holiday traffic in the coming year.
