A wave of emotion has swept across the Costa Blanca as friends, clients and neighbours come to terms with the loss of Manuel Rodriguez, the heart and soul behind Casas Manuel real estate.

The announcement of Manuel’s passing was shared this morning on the official Casas Manuel Facebook page, with a touching message from the team. After facing illness with courage and grace, Manuel died peacefully, surrounded by love. Until the very end, he kept the smile everyone knew so well.

“He’s now with his beloved mother Pilar,” the post read. “We are heartbroken, but also grateful for the strength and love he gave us.”

Those words quickly echoed across the community. More than a thousand comments poured in — from long-time clients, fellow agents, and expats who had once walked through the doors of his office and left with more than just keys. They left with trust, comfort, and often a new friend.

For anyone wishing to pay their respects, the family is welcoming visitors today at the chapel of rest in Benimar, Rojales. The funeral will be held tomorrow in Benijofar, the town Manuel loved deeply and called his second home.

Manuel was more than a real estate agent. He was a reassuring presence, someone who remembered your name, your story — and always asked how you were, genuinely.

Casas Manuel real estate legacy lives on in Costa Blanca

In 2001, Manuel founded Casas Manuel, a small family-run agency with big heart and ambition. Over two decades later, it has become one of the most trusted real estate names on the Costa Blanca South, with offices in Benijofar, La Zenia, and a dedicated aftersales centre.

What set Casas Manuel apart — and still does — is the way the team works: with honesty, transparency, and a genuine desire to help. Thanks to Manuel’s vision, the agency has helped thousands of people coming from all sides to find their place in the sun.
