Smart and Connected Ground Mobility Round Table held at the Forum

The successful debut of the China-Spain Smart Mobility Forum, mark an important milestone in bilateral industrial cooperation. The event strengthened technical and industrial collaboration, enhanced public-private sector interactions, showcased frontier solutions, and contributed to building greener and smarter mobility systems. It also served as a valuable reference for global cross-regional cooperation in smart mobility, injecting strong momentum into the creation of an efficient, green, and sustainable future mobility ecosystem.

In February 2024, EHang and Telefónica Tech established a strategic partnership to combine their owned cutting-edge technologies into the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem. Since then, the collaboration has grown across the Telefónica Group, with EHang’s flagship pilotless eVTOL EH216-S now featured at LaCabina, Telefónica’s Innovation Hub. This milestone highlights the company’s shared commitment to driving smart, sustainable, and scalable air mobility solutions across Spain and Europe, shaping the future of next-generation transportation.

The display of EH216-S in LaCabina offers government authorities, institutional representatives and industry partners immersive experiences, including virtual flight experience, providing a firsthand introduction to Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technologies. Beyond demonstrations, it will act as an inspirational hub for collaborative research and technical innovation between China and Spain, accelerating the deployment of low-altitude economy technologies and their integration into practical, real-world operations across Europe.
