Eight Durham Police officers have been suspended amid reports of alleged misbehaviour while on holiday in Spain.
A sergeant, six PCs and a special constable based in Chester-le-Street station, were suspended last October, the force said.
They face a probe into their behaviour while off duty amid allegations they failed to uphold standards of professional behaviour.
The force’s Professional Standards Department is carrying out the investigation into the officers’ behaviour while they were off-duty.

The investigation relates to misbehaviour on the trip abroad, which was not a work trip, as well as an inappropriate tattoo, the Northern Echo reported.
If the allegations are proven, all eight face being banned from policing or losing their jobs.
