These coastal towns and cities of the Costa Blanca have long been home to well-established British and German communities, many of whom settled in the area several decades ago. Attracted by the climate, lifestyle and strong local infrastructure, these residents have become an integral part of everyday life in places such as Albir, Altea, La Nucia and Alfaz del Pi, living alongside Spanish neighbours and contributing to the multicultural character of the region.

Thanks to this long-standing international presence, a vibrant network of social clubs, live music venues, associations and regular events has developed over the years. From quiz nights and language exchanges to live concerts, dance classes and wellbeing activities, this strong community fabric continues to provide a wide range of entertainment and social opportunities, helping residents of all nationalities to connect, socialise and enjoy an active lifestyle on the Costa Blanca.
