Guided winter walk explores Calblanque’s beaches, wildlife and Mediterranean landscapes.

THOSE in Cartagena looking for a fun, active, and outdoorsy activity while also getting to know the area better are in luck this January. A guided tour of Calblanque Park, complete with a route through the beaches and breathtaking natural beauty of Cartagena’s landscape, will be available this month for locals and visitors who want to stay active during the winter months and enjoy nature while they do it.
A guided tour through the stunning natural landscape of Cartagena
The guided tour will take place at the Calblanque Regional Park, Peña del Águila and Monte de las Cenizas in Cartagena from Sunday, January 18, 2026, allowing visitors to enjoy the tranquil beaches and stunning flora and fauna on the shining Costa Calida. Through this guided route through the varied ecosystems of the area, interested visitors will discover the natural richness that makes this Mediterranean enclave a protected space of great ecological value, and popular year-round with tourists and visitors.
The route is classified as low difficulty with an approximate distance of 4 kilometres, making it an accessible but still active method of getting to know the area and remaining active even during the off-season. The activity is available for residents and visitors ages 9 and up, making it perfect as a family outing or a way to get the kids interested in nature and hiking.
How to sign up for the guided tour
Interested residents and visitors of Cartagena can sign up for the guided tour on the official Region of Murcia Tourism website, or visitors can register online by clicking here. The tour will take place on Sunday, January 18 from 10:00am to 1:30pm. For conservation reasons, the activity cannot be carried out with pets.
