Spanish crane rental company Grúas y Servicios Casado has taken delivery of the first 3.2 tonne Jekko SPX 532.2 CDH spider crane to arrive in the country.
According to the manufacturer’s distributor Transgrúas, it is also the first lithium ion battery powered spider crane to enter a rental fleet in Spain.
Launched at Vertikal Days in September, the SPX 532.2 is an upgrade of the SPX 532 and features a five section 10.3 metre main boom topped by a four section 5.1 metre telescopic jib which offsets by up to 80 degrees or 16 degrees above the horizontal boom, offering a maximum tip height of 17.3 metres.


Using just its main boom, it can take 1.45 tonnes to a maximum height of 11.8 metres, 500kg at a 9.4 metre radius and 100kg to its maximum 14.8 metre radius with a maximum pick & carry capacity of 400kg. The crane has an overall width of 760mm, height is 1.99 metres and length 3.14 metres. Overall weight is 2.75 tonnes.


Grúas y Servicios Casado was established in 1995 and is based in Málaga, with a branch in Jaén, due north of Granada, which serves Granada and Cordoba. This is the company’s fourth model from the Jekko range, and joins an SPX 424 and SPX 650 spider cranes, along with an MPK 50 mini pick & carry crane. Other products include Klaas trailer cranes, loader cranes, CMC spider lifts Matilsa trailer lifts, tracked transport platforms skates and skids as well as glazing robots and attachments.
