Motorists on the Costa del Sol are enjoying some of Spain’s lowest fuel prices thanks to a cluster of independent low-cost stations stretching from Torremolinos to San Pedro Alcantara.
According to the latest data from the Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) and the government-monitored dieselogasolina.com portal, drivers filling up in Benalmadena, Mijas, Fuengirola and the western Marbella area are consistently paying 10–20 cents per litre less than at traditional brands such as Repsol, Cepsa or BP.
As of mid-November 2025, unleaded 95 octane is available for as little as €1.319 per litre at several Ballenoil and Petroprix outlets, with diesel often dipping below €1.34. These prices represent savings of €7 to €10 on a typical 50-litre tank compared with the pricier stations found along the main tourist drags.
Benalmadena have the best prices if you shop savvy
Benalmadena currently claims the crown for the least costly fuel on the coast. The Ballenoil station on Calle Pacharán in Arroyo de la Miel and the nearby Petroprix are regularly tied at €1.319 for unleaded 95, a figure that has appeared at the top of provincial price rankings throughout 2025. Just a few kilometres away in Mijas, the Petroprix on Camino Viejo de Coin matches that price, making the central stretch between Fuengirola and Benalmádena a bargain hunter’s paradise.
Further west, Ballenoil San Pedro Alcantara (Calle Reino Unido) offers unleaded 95 at €1.399, which is still well below the €1.50-plus charged by many branded forecourts in central Marbella.
Manilva, fuel is pricy – might be worth running to San Pedro
Drivers heading towards Estepona or Manilva will notice prices creeping upwards, with Manilva remaining the most expensive municipality on the entire Costa del Sol.
Consumer groups advise filling up mid-week and using apps such as dieselogasolina.com or the OCU fuel finder to pinpoint the day’s best deals. With crude oil stable for the moment and competition fierce among the no-frills operators, Costa del Sol motorists west of Malaga can expect these low-cost stations, led by Ballenoil, Petroprix and Plenergy, to keep prices among the most reasonable in Andalucia for the foreseeable future.
