The La Cangreja beachside bar is the only chiringuito in the Region of Murcia to make the list

According to the famous gastronomic magazine, La Cangreja values its “beloved Galúa beach so much that they are willing to seasonally adjust this area to boost its tourism throughout the year. So, although during the summer it is the indisputable place to be, the mild temperatures of La Manga make it possible for the season to be extended much longer.”
“Some of the essentials? The seafood tapa, the empanadilla preñá and the summer morcilla croquette,” the Tapas article added.
La Cangreja is a well-known brand on the coast of the Region. One of its owners, Ángel Sánchez de Val Rodríguez, recently decided to close the Cartagena outfit after four years in the business, swapping the city streets for sandy beaches. The chain currently operates similar, and equally popular, establishments in Cabo de Palos, La Azohía and San Juan de los Terreros, where their latest restaurant has just opened.
Tapas magazine scours the coasts of Spain for the very best beach bars where customers can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat “like nowhere else, with the salt still on their skin and sand between their toes”.
The most important objective for the team at the chiringuito La Cangreja La Manga is to promote tourism on the Galúa beach and its surroundings, where visitors are spoiled for choice between the “white sand, crystalline waters, music, gastronomy, sun, camaraderie, happiness…”
