1. A vibrant programme for all audiences
  2. Free admission, family atmosphere, activities for everyone and consolidation for the future

Salou will celebrate the ‘Festa al Cel’ from 19 to 21 September 2025.

The Catalan enclave will become the capital of the sky with the celebration of this event, the largest air festival in Spain, which is coming to the Costa Dorada for the first time after a five-year hiatus.

This is an unprecedented event with more than 20 confirmed air shows, aerobatic teams, fighter planes, helicopters and historic aircraft from all over Europe.

The ‘Festa al Cel’ will be a mixture of adrenaline, technology and spectacle with Salou as the setting, organised by Salou Town Council, directed by the Barcelona-Sabadell Aeroclub, produced by Escudería Targa Iberia, sponsored by Port Aventura and with the collaboration of the Air and Space Force, Enaire and AENA.

Launched in 1991, the Fiesta en el Cielo has been held in venues such as Barcelona, Mataró and Lleida-Alguaire, and has established itself as one of the most iconic air shows on the continent. Its debut in Salou promises to be a historic edition: with a new format, a privileged location by the sea and an expected attendance of up to 200,000 people.

The ‘Festa al Cel’ is one of the most important air events in southern Europe and the oldest in Spain, with more than 28 years of history. A festival that began as the natural evolution of the kite flying that took place every year on the beaches of Barcelona.

Now it comes to Salou with the aim of becoming the main air festival in Spain and growing in an ideal location for its celebration.

A vibrant programme for all audiences

The festival will begin on Friday 19 September with a training day (from 11:00 to 15:00), open to the public, during which the teams will carry out test flights and technical checks.

On Saturday 20 September, Levante beach in Salou will be transformed into a light and sound show with the Sunset Airshow (from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm), an evening display featuring illuminated flights, aerial choreography, music and synchronised pyrotechnics.

The highlight will come on Sunday 21 September with the Grand Airshow (from 11:00 to 15:00), a spectacular aerial display full of acrobatics, excitement and adrenaline, designed for all audiences.

One of the great advantages is that, unlike many air festivals, the audience will not have the sun in their eyes, ensuring a more comfortable and optimal viewing experience during all the exhibitions.

There will be a stellar line-up with 20 teams and aerial formations confirmed. Among the most notable participants and attractions are:

  • -Eurofighter Typhoon, F-18, ASPA and PAPEA Patrols (Air and Space Force)
  • Tigre and Chinook helicopters (Army)
  • Classic aircraft such as the Hispano Aviación Super Saeta, Texan T6, Dornier, Akrobat, Trener and Bückers (Fundación Parc Aeroàutic de Catalunya)
  • Cessna 152, 172, 182, Tecnam P2006T and Pipistrel Velis Elektro light aircraft (Barcelona – Sabadell Aeroclub)

  • Extreme aerobatics by the Edge 540 (Juan Velarde) and the Sukhoi 26 (Cástor Fantoba)
  • Paramotor exhibitions Barcelona
  • Carousel formation (Reus Aeroclub)
  • Commercial area and professional space

As a notable new feature, Festa en el Cel 2025 will have a commercial area, a networking and exhibition space that will bring together companies linked to the sector and the aeronautical industry. This professional meeting point will promote synergies, generate business opportunities and bring the sector’s technological innovation closer to the general public.

Free admission, family atmosphere, activities for everyone and consolidation for the future

Admission to the ‘Festa al Cel’ will be completely free and open to everyone. In addition to the air shows, the festival will include children’s areas, educational activities, food trucks and observation areas adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Salou is hosting this edition with the aim of consolidating the festival in the future and showcasing its ability to organise major events to the world. More than just an air show, the Festa al Cel will be a celebration of technology, aviation history and shared excitement, in a privileged setting by the sea.

Spain is one of my favourite places to visit. The weather, the food, people and way of life make it a great place to visit.
