The festive season is a wonderful, magical time of the year, but let’s be honest, it can also be overwhelming.
A calmer start to the Christmas season
Are you looking for a more relaxed, alcohol-free Christmas gathering? Sober Socials, the Costa del Sol community bringing people together without alcohol, is offering the perfect alternative with their free event, “The Revitaliser”.
Taking place on Sunday 21st December, “The Revitaliser” is designed to be an uplifting experienced. Organisers hope this event will offer a rare moment of calm before the usual, some may say traditional, Christmas chaos sets in.
The group will meet outside Cafe Bora Bora in Carvajal at 9:45 am. This event combines a relaxed seaside walk along the Fuengirola promenade, friendly chatter, and for those who dare, a refreshing dip in the ocean. The event concludes with a cosy coffee, giving everyone a moment to recharge, warm up and enjoy some good company.
All are welcome to join, whether you’re sober or simply fancy some fresh air, a calmer Christmas celebration and good company. Coffee is optional and the event is free to join.

Co-founders Louise Hazleden and Emma Thorne Lees created Sober Socials as a way to make socialising fun without the pressure of alcohol. “December can be a lot,” the co-founders explain. “The Revitaliser is a chance to take some ‘you time’ with movement, sea air, and connection, and a reminder that it’s OK to slow down before life speeds up.” Participants can expect a friendly, zero-judgement atmosphere where connection and well-being come first.
