Spain continues to break records in 2025. Between January and September, over 76 million international tourists arrived, the best historical data and the total spending was around € 106 billion. Although the rate of arrivals is moderate compared to the previous year, spending continues to rise, reflecting more sustainable tourism focused on quality.
The UK remains the main market, followed by France and Germany, while Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Andalusia concentrate the majority of visits.
Around 15.3 million foreign visitors spent € 13,364 million in September, with an average expenditure per person of € 1,380 and an average stay of around a week.

The UK led by a wide margin, as its tourists spent €2.555 billion, 4.3% more, which translates to an average expenditure of €1,227 per person. Germany contributed € 1.64 billion and, despite the slight adjustment in total spending (-0.7%), maintains its loyalty to Spain with longer trips (7.5 days +2.5%) and an average spending per person that continues to grow (+1.8%).
The rest of the markets also add dynamism. France and the Nordic countries maintain a stable presence, while visitors from the rest of the world increase their weight in total spending.
