The number of tourist arrivals in Spain grew11.6 percent year-on-year to 8.432 million in June of 2017, following an 11.7 percent rise in May.
Tourists arrived mostly from the United Kingdom (up 4.2 percent year-on-year to 2.176 million), Germany (up 15.9 percent to 1.416 million), France (up 4.4 percent to 0.860 million), the United States (up 27.9 percent to 0.350 million), Ireland (up 17.5 percent to 0.409 million) and Switzerland (up 15.5 percent to 0.195 million).
Considering the first half of the year, tourist arrivals rose 11.6 percent to 36.3 million. Tourist Arrivals in Spain averaged 4459.43 Thousand from 1995 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 10104.27 Thousand in August of 2016 and a record low of 1397.41 Thousand in January of 1995.
