A British boy is missing after reportedly being abducted in Spain.

The Spanish government has issued an appeal for information about the boy, named only as Oliver P.

Here is what we know, and don’t know, about the case so far.

What we know

In its appeal, Spain’s Ministry of the Interior said Oliver was reported missing in Marbella, in southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, on 4 July.

It said he is three years old, having been born on 3 November 2021.

Oliver is said to have grey eyes, blonde hair, is 85cm tall and weighs 15kg.

According to The Telegraph, he was reported missing by his British father amid fears he has been abducted.

A Foreign Office spokesperson told Yahoo News: “We are supporting the family of a British child who has been reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”

What we don’t know

The identities of Oliver’s mother and father haven’t been announced by officials, and there is no information about their living circumstances in Spain. It’s not known whether Oliver was born in the UK.

The interior ministry’s appeal didn’t set out the circumstances of Oliver’s disappearance last month, or any investigation leads since he was reported missing nearly two months ago. Yahoo News UK has approached them for further comment.

Spain is one of my favourite places to visit. The weather, the food, people and way of life make it a great place to visit.
